The three-speed internal gear system is manufactured by Shimano and is widely recognized as one of the most reliable and user-friendly setups available. Because all the shifting occurs inside the rear hub, the chain never needs to move between sprockets to change gears, which significantly reduces maintenance and potential mechanical issues. Shifting is exceptionally smooth and seamless, even allowing you to change speeds without interrupting your pedal stroke. While the system remains simple with only three gears, it provides the perfect range for recreational riding.
