Pedals are part of the drivetrain system. The go on the end on the crank. There are two basic sizes. One is the 9/16 that are on all three piece cranks ( road, mountain, hybrids and more ). 1/2 are a bit smaller and fit on one pieces cranks that are usually found on one speed beach cruiser ( But not all the time).
